Stuck at "Where Spirits Have Lease"

So basically I'm supposed to do these:


Purchase Benirus Manor from Velwyn Benirus for 5000 gold.
Sleep at the manor just once, triggering an attack by ghosts. Kill them.
Read the scrap of paper on the ground floor of the manor, next to the glowing, broken vase.
Track down Velwyn and convince him to help you break the manor's curse.
Take Velwyn to the manor's Sealed Portal so he can unseal it.
Awaken Lorgren Benirus and defeat him to lift the curse.
Benirus Manor will fix itself now that the curse has been lifted; it is fully upgraded automatically.


I've found Velwyn at the inn, and tried to talk him into coming back with me to the manor. His disposition is at 100(!), ie maxed out. But no matter what I click, he's refusing to going to the manor with me?

I've also waited for hours, trying coming back, none to any avail.

Is this a bug?

Yes. He should go back to the manor after talking to you. Are you sure you did all the things beforehand? It's been a while since I've done this quest.

Just found out. Apparently I forgot to take the broken diary page with me after I first read it.

It's all good now : ) I'm going to the basement with the guy.
