Everytime I go onto oblivion the game is literally sped up and everything is fast? o.O help.

The game probably lacks support for your processor? Which one are you using?

You could try contacting the support on the official site or the official forums. You didn't tamper with your settings or anything right?

Try this[www.nexusmods.com]. Make sure you read it carefully. You'll need OBSE to run it, you can get it at silverlock[www.silverlock.org]

C:\Users\*******\Documents\My Games\Oblivion
Open the Oblivion.ini
Find iFPSClamp=0
Change it to iFPSClamp=75

This may or may not fix your speed problem.

Bethesda's engines are meant to be locked at 60fps because the physics and game speed are tied to the framerate for some reason. Anything above makes the games go insane. 75hz/fps work pretty good?

since this is necro'd years later i thought id say i dont play bethesdas garbage games locked to their framerate physics anymore. but yeah that notepad fix works

Skyrim is playable at 100fps.
I don't remember any obvious issues in Oblivion while completely uncapped.

I had assumed it was common knowledge, alot of Bethseda's games are like that for some reason.
For some reason
lack of delta timing

by default, commands are processed every frame, which for most functions is okay. But for movement and ♥♥♥♥ like that?

Yeah, you can see the problem.
