But I could share my knowledge of them with you then.
Oblivion: The Fighter Guild's are made of mercenary's group from all around the world (Like the Mages Guild) and has more of a motto "Fight first and ask questions later", they have multiple ranks of a warrior can combines, and they're quite the height to get up to.
Skyrim :While the The Companions proven more of a valor and honor words than most rewarding deeds of The Fighter Guild's, they still get pay regulary when they get the job done but for unique standards in the ranks, they have the Circles, a werewolf group capable of being called out for destroying banditry fotress and difficult tasks.
(The similarity? They both compete with trouble-making thugs such as the Silver-Hand (Bandits) and Blackwood Company (Mercenary). And they are both are classified as warrior's group)
Oblivion: With the mobility and capablity, the Mages Guild has several ways to solve a problem quicker than the Fighter's Guild would do, and their pays are usually enchanments and or Septims. In order to rank up and taken entry to the Unniverse, you need a recommendation from all over the cities of Cyrodiil in order to rank up and taken up to the Unniverse in the Imperial City. They also have their Arch-Nemesis rivals, the Necromancer, who are presumbly the ones to be banned by using spells that lift up the dead as undead.
Skyrim: While are splinter's of the Mages Guild, the College of Winterhold once protected itself (but, unfortunately, they didn't saved the town) from a massive water waves, and now holds an isolated (there are still people there though) rocky spiral tower that holds the college out in the open and its bridge's collum were destroyed entirely by the waves but it can still hold up the bridge due to some sort of magical barrier, they are few in numbers, due to them being shunned by half the outside world and are only now having a few problems to help for the outer world as the people needed them for enchanments, gaining access to the College requires a unique spell or scrolls brought from the College's gatekeeper, while their ranks are not quite the interest, since its mostly like from Novice to Master and then to Arch-mage.
(The glue stick of a similarities? They are both for mages and are usually in need of a requirement to gain entry)
The arena is fun, and can be done in about an hour and a half, do it whenever. Usually it's the first thing I do when I make a new character.
50 Infamy is really hard to get unless you immediately do thieves guild + dark brotherhood or go on a murder spree.
Also shouldn't knights let you rejoin after the pilgrimage anyways?
Though, I suppose I also enjoy the Dark Brotherhood in both games, and being a sadistic monster and taunting my targets before killing them. Or Fus-Ro-Dah on the Gourmet to throw him in the small lake/large pond...
