Grey Fox missing...

I'm in the middle of the Boots of Springheel Jack and after I got diary from the tomb and read it, I go back to cheydenhal to see the grey fox and he's not there..... I've tried waiting and everything... I don't know what the deal is. Any help would be great

Did you take the boots from Jak when you've slain him?

The diary reveals to you that the cowardly guy you met when you came into the house, who gave you the key to the catacombs, is actually Springheel Jack.

He should have attacked you when you tried to leave the catacombs. On his dead corpse are the boots. The quest won't advance until you have them.

LOL guess I should read more... That actually happened soon after I poested this. Sorry for wasting everyones time
