Certain enemies and NPC's are missing their bodies
I modded up my Oblivion a bit, adding the more popular (according to the Nexus list) mod for improving character looks. And I find that some, just a few, of the NPC and enemies have only face, legs and arms visible. The bodies are not there. This is particularly annoying for enemies, as it makes it harder to target them in a battle.

Does anyone from experience know what I might be missing? Anyway to check?

Thanks!

If you re using OOO there are occasional problem with textures. If you can copy the meshes and texture folders from the OOO archive manually to the Oblivion Data folder it might fix some of the missing textures.

If you are using a body replacer, install it before installing Oblivion Character Overhaul.

It may also be caused by your load order. Use BOSS to set your load order.

I downloaded Boss but haven't learned how I use it. I do have a body replacer as well as the character overhaul. So should I reinstall the character overhaul or should I just try to use BOSS?
