Should I play Oblivion first or Skyrim?
Hi never played either but I have the complete Oblivion game with all DLC etc

And I think by not playing it first its a sort of waste and I may be missing out on lots of content

I never played any Elder Scrolls game before

But the thing is I don't have much time on my hands as I am 29 years old

Oblivion's graphics are a bit dated when compared to Skyrim so you may want to play Oblivion first. Otherwise it doesn't really matter.

how long does it take to complete the game?

It takes upwards of forever to complete these games.

They are both open games that never really end. Even after you finish all of the quests you can still play. And both games can be modded wich further extends the gameplay. You can find mods for Oblivion at Oblivion Nexus.

They changed the game from being a class system to an open system. Oblivion has a better system when it comes to most of the game. With Skyrim it's mainly the ability to use each hand independently.

To be honest after watching oblivion again oncemore, I really do hate the graphics but its not just that the trees and stuff are really ugly in Oblivion.

In skyrim they really look like trees of a North American mountain. Its just so much more appealing, part me me still wants to play Oblivion but yeah.

I personally love Oblivion's grasslands and I definitely want you to play Oblivion first so you get to know Lore better.

Play Oblivion first. Nexus Mods hosts a lot of mods to increase video graphics.

As you can't spare much time to play TES4 or TES and haven't played any of them yet,
My recommendation is Start Playing Skyrim.
It takes at least 100 hours to play through SKYRIM.

You don't need to play tes4 to play Skyrim, game system and mechanics are completely different and you need not know any lore from TES4 to play TES5.
If you like TES5, you can start playing TES4 at any time.

It is good to know lore. Then you aren't like: "WTF is emperor or Night mother"

Those people didn't play Oblivion...

Go back and play Morrowind :)
