Pro tip: Elder Scroll games on PC were made for mouse and keyboard.

bro go buy an xbox 360 controller for windows bundle it has a normal 360 controller in it which will work with both 360 n pc but i also includes a wireless adapter to make connect to a pc or you could get a wired 360 controller which work the same just has wires you can find the driver easily onine just once you install them youll have to bring up device manager and link the driver to the device oddly enough....just right click it and click select drivers from list already on my pc and scroll and you should see xbox 360 controller driver in that list there should be 3 listed all will work n now playstation controllers well sony never made a driver for the ps3 controller for windows so a guy made 3rd party drivers for it and even paid n got the drivers signed but since they werent 1st party drivers no body added playstation/ps3 controller support thus feeding back int the ps4 controller yes sony made official 1st party drivers this time but since playstation controllers where never supported they never got any use support in games they might work without joytokey but i doubt soo n the ps4 controller is newer than oblivion so it wouldnt of gotten added support using joytokey is hitnmiss at most since you are emulating mouse n keyboard not adding actuall ps4 gamepad to it but as i said oblivion has gamepad support a 360 controller does work ive used it pawn shops sell them cheap but dont sell the adapter you could buy a 360 charge n play kit which includes a usb cord that you can cconnect to pc but doubtfull that a pawn shop would have one your best bet is full price online or at a frys bestbuy or gamestop xbox one gamepad likely wont work either

Or just use a DS4 controller and use DS4Windwows.

And how exactly do you set that up?

Hey guys! I've got a really good solution I just found. I decided to get back into playing Oblivion recently, and I ran into the same issues with mods on the Nexus not really working or supporting the PS4 controller, as well as the JoyToKey path. I had SOME success with JoyToKey, but not totally.

Then I found a mod called NorthernUI.

This mod not only overhauled the UI to make it work more like Skyrim (there's a vanilla version of hte mod that keeps the UI original), but it added controller support, and it WORKS LIKE A CHAMP! It's 6/6/2019 and I just wanted to leave this here in case there were any other people like me looking for the BEST solution to the PS4 controller support issue.

I used Vortex to load the mod, and also used the NorthernUI Playstation Controller Button mod as well (loaded AFTER NorthernUI). Hope this works for you fellas as well as it did for me!

Cheers!
