OBSE not working
The other month I was able to get OBSE to work perfectly with all my mods, however I had to wipe my hard drive. Now that I've reinstalled all my mods and OBSE, the same exact way I had last time, and now every time I try to run OBSE this is what I get:
Application load error 5:0000065434
Is anyone else having this issue? I'm using that different .exe that was given on the Steam forums, meant for the Steam version of Oblivion. Tried to run it how the OBSE readme says, and the game starts without any mods.

i'm not sure what "I try to run OBSE " means.
But if you talk about STEAM version Oblivion, we do not need OBSE loader.exe,
we need obse_steam_loader.dll

And if you use STEAM version oblivion and obse_steam_loader.dll, make sure your Steam settings in-Game overlay is enabled.

i hope these infomation may do some help.

The Steam version of OBSE only needing the obse_steam_loader.dll has been a lie as far as I can tell, whenever I tried to run the game with that, have my in-game overlay enabled and start Oblivion normally through Steam, none of my mods are activated. I asked a friend about this, and he said that whole thing is fake and you have to run it thought a special version of obse.exe made specifically for Steam, which I got somewhere on the Steam forum.

A couple of months ago, after getting that Steam version of the .exe file, all my mods worked. Now though, whether I run it normally through Steam with just the obse_steam_loader.dll in my folder, or with the launcher, it doesn't work.

It is not LIE.
I actually play OBSE dll only and obse depending mods works well.
My OBSE
obse_1_2_416.dll file version 0.0.21.4
obse_steam_loader.dll file version 0.0.21.4
obse_editor_1_2.dll file version 0.0.21.4
I have no obse exe.
Just start Oblivion from your Steam client

Readme says follows -----------------------------------------
3. Launch Oblivion via Steam or by running Oblivion.exe.
OBSE will automatically be run along with Oblivion when launched.
To disable this, rename or move obse_steam_loader.dll.

You do not need to use obse_loader.exe unless you are running the editor.

I'd appreciate it if you read everything I said. I have started Oblivion through my Steam client with the obse_steam_loader.dll. But when the game starts up, it starts with no mods. None.

That doesn't help me one bit.

Now i understand.
you are talking about steam spcial version.
and stick to that special .
I am taliking about OBSE 1.2.4 on http://obse.silverlock.org/
I am sorry i can't help.
I don't know anything about that Steam Special exe on Steam Forum .
Sorry for my misunderstanding.

The OBSE 1.2.4 on http://obse.silverlock.org/ doesn't work for me, whenever I start the game using that the game starts normally, without any mods, because I have the game for Steam, not a retail copy.

they should patch the game once more adding native script extensions and LAA. and fix the damn CTD on exit ♥♥♥♥♥ once and for all.

STEAM based OBLIVION can start OBSE 1.2.415 and cooperate smoothly!
It is YOU THAT CAN't get along with OBSE 1.2.416
STOP BLAMING steam and OBSE!
Spikem59 Apr 21, 2015 @ 2:38pm
tat-n, you're not listening to me.
VERSION 1.2.415 IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AS 1.2.416
You're not the one at my computer, so you don't have the right to tell me that I'm using the 416 version when it clearly shows 415 when I look in my folder.
DMC1973 Apr 26, 2015 @ 12:12pm
I went back to my disk version...works perfect....f'n progress HA
Spikem59 Apr 26, 2015 @ 3:53pm
DMC, maybe you need to tell tat-n that. "stop blaming Steam and OBSE" Yeah, well if the non-Steam version works perfectly, I think there's a problem there.
