Installing to a different directory
So I'm trying to mod my Oblivion, and I am reading that ideally you shouldnt stick with a default steam installation directory, and instead you should do something like C:/Games/Oblivion.

How do I change a steam installation like that?

Well, i think there is no way to change the install direction. You can manually put the folder in the folder you wish, but you can also mod Oblivion in the Steam folder. It is a bit more clicking with the mouse, but not THAT complicated

I actually just got done moving it. I followed this:

and moved my entire steam directory to a more oblivion mod friendly C:/Games/Oblivion. I should hopefully be able to eventually automate modding to an extent with WyreBash. I'll test it tomorrow and report my findings.

This is absolutely useless. I have one SSD and only a C drive. There's no way to move my steam folder unless I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ uninstall every ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game and reinstall it to something outside of program files because Bethesda are incompetent ♥♥♥♥ nuggets.

You can install Oblivion to whatever drive you want, I've been putting it on externals along with my other games for years. Also, weird af necro. You don't have to uninstall anything to move your steam games around. You can create a new folder for steam on whatever drive (do this from within Steam), then move games to that location (also from within Steam).
