Quests without finishing tutorial
So, while I'm doing tutorial, I'm getting massive amounts of quests. The first one was "Repairing the Orrery", when I got a thing saying I found a note. I got it after I killed my first goblin (so I assumed it was a auto thing I didn't need to pick up) and I continued. Later, after the emperor got assassinated and I finished picking out my class n stuff (I made a custom one incase that detail matters), I start to get more. I got one called "Horse Armor" about a person giving free horse armour (I'm not even out of prison yet and suddenly I have a horse). I forget the order, but then I got even more quests. The names for them are, in order of how they show up in journal, "Dunbarrow Cove", "Deepscorn Hollow", "Unearthing Mehrunes Razor", "Frostcrag Spire", and "Battlehorn Castle". I bought the game of the year edition (the 25$ one) and at first I assumed they're just quests being given for the dlc, but after so many I'm beginning to suspect there's a bug or something. Can someone explain what happened?
Note: I'm still in the tutorial!!! I just went through the door after finishing up with Baurus (though I got quests inbetween Baurus and the door) and got some quests after that. The most confusing bit, being told I've been delivered something without anyone coming by.

Also, even if this is all dlc stuff, I still find it strange that it's given to me during the tutorial (when there isn't even anyone to give me this stuff, the only plausible way being that I looted it off the emperor but even then, that wouldn't make sense.) It would've been better to at least have something like a courier (going to skyrim's courier for that one, still in tutorial, don't know jack about the outside world yet), that would come up to me some time later after finishing the tutorials then giving me the notes.

Those are all the dlc you got with the deluxe edition. It won't happen with regular quests. It is kinda annoying that it is spammed without any logical way of getting the knowledge of the places ect. but that's just the way it is.

Thanks for explaining that. Shame they didn't implement any form of introducing it. At least a way of casually slipping it in like a courier or actually hearing a rumour.
Also, just got a quest "A Door in Niben Bay", saying I heard a rumour from someone... While I'm in a random forest... with no one around... Either I'm insane (hearing voices) or I have very good hearing.

It's just a sad reminder that Bethesda isn't in the business of making good games, they're in the business to make money.

Not sure if trolling or stupid.

Since when did they make a horrible game?

lol the only bad thing about Bethesda games,is the engine they use as it's buggy as hell.
but they make great games.
All company's are in it for the money, you don't think they make games out of the godness of there heart now do you?
But at least with Bethesda games you know there going to be good.

Best to uncheck all the dlc you don't intend to play with in the launcher next time

The door in Niben Bay is for the Shivering Isles expansion. It was placed there by a god, so hearing voices could be a good option ;) I would not recommend going in there when you are just starting.. Try to explore Cyrodiil first a bit.

I didn't say it was a horrible game.

If they were truly interested in making good games they would have taken the time to release the dlc in an immersive way, or taken the time to make better looking facial models or fixed the NPCs who speak in different voices. But they didn't because making good games isn't their top priority. Making a profit is.

Releasing in an immersive way. I'm condecing that one.

Better facial models. This was made a long time ago, and as such, there was probably limits to how well they could make graphics (that's why games from a long time ago don't have extreme realistic graphics like today, they were limited back then).

Fixing NPCs with different voices. I'm partially conceding that but I will leave a note, it does sound pretty funny so maybe they left it in for that reason? I would probably have asked the community about fixing it though. But, there's always the possibility something more important came up than fixing silly voices.

Sidenote: you may not have SAID that it was a horrible game, but it was somewhat implied (intentionally or not) that you thought it was bad. "making GOOD games isn't their top priority" implying you may think that.

Fair enough on the voices, but I don't think I'm writing up deeds and letters from desceased people giving me their homes, or creating fliers for free horse armour.
I'm not planning on touching any of the dlc until I get more familiar with the game though.

I intend to play all of it, everything the game has to offer. Though, I didn't expect my character go start going insane and hearing voices while also writing out deeds/wills that are from deceased people I never even met (unless I met them before I went to prison, but even then, probably wouldn't know they were dead.

I'm using the character overhaul 2 mod. Makes the faces better to look at.

I have always seen Oblivion as the goofy one between the depressing atmosphere of Morrowind and the seriousness of Skyrim. And somehow i like it. So when a female beggar speaks with a old woman voice at first and then a normal female voice, i just laugh and pretend she is a fraud.

In my opinion every facial model looks better in morrowind than in oblivion and these don't include the real potato heads of oblivion. These are the good ones.
