raminus polus marker, help?

i got attacked by necromancers by mercator hosidius, skingrad's count saved me, and i had a talk to raminus polus about this, and i think this is what's supposed to happen in the quest, but i keep getting a marker on raminus polus and i talked to him about EVERYTHING, nothing happens. when i talk to him about jannus (the count) he stops at how the council didn't mean for my character being put in danger, then he stops talking. help me, i can't continue with the quests, the marker won't get off of raminus.

Did you get the following in your log "I've delivered Hassildor's message to Raminus Polus."? If no, then console <setstage MG09Motives 100> to end the quest. You should also get an amulet.

<setstage MG10Vahtacen 10> will start the next quest.

what do you mean "you should also get an amulet"? am i supposed to get one after typing in the command, or am i supposed to find one?

Your reward for completing the quest "Ulterior Motives" is an amulet that is given to you by Raminus Polus. He will also make your rank "Evoker" in the mages guild. The amulet is called "Spelldrinker Amulet" and depending on your PCs level will aid in spell absorbtion by a certain number of points.

When typing in the console <setstage MG09Motives 100> be in the Arcane University with Raminus in the room. You should get the log update and the amulet.
