How to install the patches?
I have the game installed, and i want to install the unofficial Oblivion patch, Shivering Isles patch, and DLC patch. Well the downloads are in .7z file, so i have 7-zip to extract them, well where in the Oblivion Steam folder do i go? I read to unzip them in the data folder... but when i did all 3 in the data folder, it causes Oblivion to crash, and i had to re-download the game.

Here are my steps i have done so far:
1. Went to Steam folder in my drive.
2. Went to Steam Apps folder.
3. Went to Common folder.
4. Went to Oblivion folder.
5. Went to Data Folder.

Now if i install the UOP (oblivion patch ) first it goes in fine. Well when i extract the Shivering Isles patch into the Data folder as well, it says "files already are there, overwrite?" so i said yes, and so i think that is where i messed up? Do i create new folders in the Data folder before extracting? I am lost on how to install the 3 Unofficial patches, i have the 7-zip but lost on what to do.

Just use Oblivion mod manager. Easier that way.

Thanks for the info, I don't feel like figuring out another program, i had to figure out .7z files for the patches, i just installed the Un-official Oblivion Patch, and not the knights of 9, or isles because frankly i never even did the knights of nine quest line or ever ventured into the isles.

Hi, there is .exe for the unoffical patches :)

Yeah, but i found the newer updated ones, and those ones don't have .exe only the older patch versions.
