How Do I Disable Console Commands?

Open your Oblivion.ini located in Document\mygames. Search for bAllowConsole=1 and change the 1 to a 0. Save and exit.

Honestly, unless your self-control really is that bad, I would advise just not using it to cheat rather than disabiling it entirely. Sometimes the console is literally the only way to fix a bug or a broken quest, it's a very valuable tool.

Was about to say this.
Console commands have saved me from many quest ruining bugs. Better to have them but only use them for emergencies rather than have to bother with re-enabeling and stuff.
I know there's temptation to cheat, but put it this way - you're only ruining it for yourself.

This exact same posting, by this same exact poster appeared recently in the Fallout: New Vegas Steam forum as well... It's baffling to me that someone could have so little self control... "Ahhhh, the tilde key is haunting me, I must press it....."

I don't understand the complaint about fast travel either. I understand the argument against it, but not the argument that it must be disabled before one can enjoy the game. If you don't like it then don't use it. Simple.

I have that same problem. I keep saying "Alright, this time, I WILL NOT CHEAT." 10 seconds later, I'm flying around killing everything is sight.
