I can’t finish the Thieves Guild quest line

I am currently on the final quest of the Thieves Guild story. So far I’ve entered the Blinde Moth Priest Library but wasn’t sure how to progress and the quest didn’t updated for me. After some digging I was supposed to set on the chair and wait for one of the moth priest to give me the Elder Scroll, thinking I’m somebody else. So I waited and waited and waited no scroll. Am I doing something wrong or is the game bugging again?

have you checked the UESP Wiki for that specific quest? if it is bugged, you might need to use console commands to advance to the next stage

You can advance the quest using the console. In the console, select the reading chair and type *activate*, then close the console and wait for the character to sit. Once in position, reopen the console and type *setstage TG11Heist 85* and a Priest should come and deliver the Elder Scroll as expected.

Alternative option for this is to give yourself the Elder Scroll by typing *player.additem 22DB0 1*.

I typed in both console commands and the quest still won’t update nor did the priest showed up to deliver me the scroll
