Edit layout - Left trackpad - Hotkey - settings - Under general select Continuous. - Add virtual menu entry - select KEYBOARD (NOT NUMPAD) 1-8. You now have 8 radial buttons on the left trackpad. Turn the right trackpad into mouse and the click as a mouse click.
Gently hold the left trackpad in desired direction and click whatever you want to hotkey in your inventory.

Also as a bonus, map L4 as ~’ key for console commands and L5 as F5, R5 as F9 for an easy access to quick save and quick load.

The only way to make the experience better is to download northern UI vanilla, which requires OBSE and SkyBSA. Extract OBSE to Oblivion folder and rename OblivionLauncher to something like OriginalLauncher. Rename obse_loader.exe to OblivionLauncher.exe.

Extract SkyBA and NorthernUI to the Data folder. Enjoy.
