(However, if you decide you would prefer to start over, Endurance is the important attribute to consider. Endurance also improves health. It is increased by Armourer, Block and Heavy Armour. It is the only attribute I seek to increase by +5 every time I level until it is maxed. As I do not use armour I make sure to use block frequently and that I repair every piece of armour or weapon I possibly can even if I do not intend to loot these items. If you are happy to use Heavy armour this will quickly increase your Endurance.)
That or you have leveled too fast and haven't bothered to get gear that's on your level.
It is not strictly playing as a mage, but, for me, making sure you have high endurance remains vital (every point of extra health counts) and I play as a sort of battle mage poor relation and deliberately explore caves for the purpose of combat fighting with shield and mace to increase my endurance (and strength) until I have maxed my endurance.
Chameleon and invisibility spells and enchantments are also your friends when playing as a mage. But, and this is a personal opinion, you should not overuse these as they can completely "break" the game if used as clothing enchantments all the time (@100% they become an exploit which drains all challenge from the game).
Miss read me once again! I know you have played this for years. But, the OP has not, or, so he/she quite plainly said.
Run past everything and get the sigil stone.
The End.
Man I realized, this game is like, kind of bad. sorry, but i shouldn't be able to just run past everything just because i'm level 1. it's all imps, gobs, and basic enemies that do nothing. While this game is doable, there's literally no sense of progression. If enemies are strong, you are strong, if enemies are weak, you are weak. it's a linear ring.
Might go back to skyrim or morrowind haha..
