As this is technically an outside project & not made by Bethesda on their own, I imagine there would be a cost for the game.
I also think that it will be closer to the higher end of the mid-cost scale as although it is a remaster, it is being hyped up to be a "great" remaster, further fuelling its' cost justification.

Do not be surprised if it retails for around £39.99 at a minimum level.

No info but of course not. This clearly is not a simple upscale like skyrim SE or the bioshock "remasters" where they just give us them for free and delist/hide the old games. They are calling it a remaster but while it is clearly not a remake its more than just a HD remaster or whatever, just upscaled textures etc. If anything the entire textures will be remade in UE.

Fixing the level scaling issue would be enough for me. It's a deal breaker. Shiny visuals are all good but if that level scaling is the same I might as well just boot up the OG game and mod it.
You'll find out in 5 more hours.

that would be a bad idea since it would replace the OG version.
i'd rather have it standalone with the OG version still purchaseable on steam
It should at the bare minimum be cheaper for owners the originals.
If it comes, it pronably will be like 50-80 dollars

Must be free. Like Skyrim, like Bioshock, Like Quake.
The game has pretty much been built up from the ground in Unreal 5. Now way in hell it's a free upgrade.
At best people who own the original on Steam might get a discount.
It's definitely not going to be free. I expect £39.99 in the UK or something with a tenner of that one way or the other.
This is a remaster with (apparently) a fair bit of extra work, not just textures.
I also no doubt it will be today, or even this quarter. I'm set for being told it will be out in 3 months or whatever this afternoon. I hope I'm wrong. But suspect today is just an announcement.

Agree on the price, may even be closer to £50, with all DLC included. Releasing in several months' time would be odd though, given the way the remaster has been marketed (ie: not at all to this point). Seems more like a shadow-drop situation to me. Besides, having a 120GB file size mentioned with 6 months development still to go doesn't make sense. I think it could still be a few weeks away, but not months - all the hype-momentum from the leaks would be lost.

Which is great if you bought it more recently. Bit of a slap in the face for those oldies like me who bought a hard copy day 1 (back in 2006 when daedra roamed the earth, I mean, Cyrodiil).

I agree; I don't think Bethesda being Bethesda to give it away for free BUT there should be a decent rebate for people who already have the original; because it is mostly the same game after all its not starting from scratch. but again... Bethesda will never miss an opportunity to be greedy.

We be lucky if the remake isn't more expensive than the original at release....
