The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (2009)

If you haven't bought Oblivion yet...
Nows your chance. If the Remaster is real, the original may get delisted.

I have zero trust in current Bethesda and fully expect it to be worse than the original. if the game has creation club-- who am I kidding, of course it does. Maybe not at release but it'll definitely be there. If Bethesda hasn't figured out yet how to "add" content to the creation club without updating their game and breaking mods, I'm not going to purchase it.

I'm still hoping it's just a bunch of AI articles reaching sentience. The game looks so ugly lol

There wasn't enough screenshots in a high enough resolution for me to determine if I'd consider it ugly but the art direction for the overall environment and fauna is definitely a mistake. If the leaks are real, it's too brown and full of dirt.
Such nonsense. The original isn't going to become inaccessible, you can still buy and play OG Skyrim.

if this was even remotely the case, you wouldnt be able to buy OG skyrim anymore. stop fearmongering.

"At the request of the publisher, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is unlisted on the Steam store and will not appear in search."

I see, so I was remembering wrong. It's unlisted but it isn't actually delisted. Here's hoping Bethesda doesn't change their mind and starts removing original versions like most other publishers.

its not up to bethesda, its up to microsoft. LE and SE are literally the exact same game, the only difference being codebase and the in-app mods. the remaster and OG oblivion are completely different with the game engines (modified gambryo and unreal 5 vs just default creation engine) and the work put into it looks more like a "remake" than a remaster with the reworked systems.

OP said DELISTED not removed/inaccessible.
There's a huge difference and yes OG Skyrim is unlisted from the store it says even on the store page link itself.

A fact that has no actual relevance to why they're saying it. They're acting as if people who don't buy it now are not going to be able to. That's factually untrue, and just pointless fear mongering about nothing.

Bethesda isn't the 1 doing the remake/remaster and C'mon man! Bethesda has never
removed a game that I know of.

Now try searching for the original in the search bar, you can't find the version without a direct link, as the giant text box on the page says it's unlisted. So while yes it is possible to get the original the average person would be unaware of the ability to do so.

It shows when I search for it. And regardless, it's still pointless fear mongering to pretend people won't be able to buy it when they absolutely will be able to.

The average person also wouldn't know or care about the difference between og Skyrim and Skyrim se. Anybody that would care would Google Skyrim legendary edition or original Skyrim and find a link to the original as one steam page of the first results.

I actually just checked. I typed "original Skyrim" in Google and first result was ESO, second result was the original Skyrim steam page.
