Also if you have Skyrim Special Edition you should play this version. I believe Anniversary Edition has no impact on it

I was wondering what other games existed. I'll have to check this one out.
It being released this week was an April fools joke.
But also it's not a remake, it's a remaster if it even still exists (as other things on the official leak -the only thing credible in all of this - have since been cancelled).
It was a Remaster yes but upgraded to a remake. This has been proven through linkedin leaks, you are not just being cautious you're in denial and it's wild.
NatetheHate has been correct more than he hasn't he's also had one of his biggest leaks recently confirmed in when we'd get a reveal for the Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo being a company notoriously difficult to leak info from. So yeah sorry if I take his word over random user "WhateverWorks" on a steam forum LMAO even your username fails to inspire confidence.
Now that being said, if NatetheHate is wrong and you guys are right, I have 0 issue with coming back here and updating my comments giving credit to you but until then, let's trust the people who actually have at least a LITTLE credibility, yeah?
Nate the hate never once said it's a remake. He said it's a remaster in the oblivion engine that uses the unreal engine to render graphics.
The original article that broke that news conflated remaster and remake, using the two terms interchangeably obviously unaware of the distinction between the two. Since then click bait articles and Redditors have ran with it, spreading misinformation which you're repeating here today.
You may not be wrong but looking through his tweets and replies I cannot find one time when he confirms it isn't a Remake, he doesn't seem to correct anyone tweeting him calling it a Remake so again when it comes to THAT you may be right and I guess we'll see but Oblivion is definitely back on the menu either way.
Maybe in 2012 after Skyrim's release it wouldn't have been a bad idea to "remaster" Oblivion but it's 2025, if they're rereleasing this game, it needs to be a Remake, we need to have new models, new textures, new features, VFXs, and for the love of god new voice acting. If this project isn't that, then it will fall flat for a lot of people.
Nah the man's proven he's trustworthy, thats not ignoring logic or common sense, it's giving him the credit he deserves.
