Remember when fantasy games were apologetically and extremely against The Dark Ones, and Orcs, and basically anyone who wasn't an Aryan Paladin? Then the playerbase revealed themselves to be mostly made up of trolls, and morality wasn't really the selling point and so they sold out the generations of lore inspiration for keeping basement dwelling trolls under the bridge.
