Far as I know, you only get the bare-bones basic stats: weapon/arrow damage and type, armour rating and type, whether it has an enchantment and what that enchantment does. Most of this information is displayed within your inventory, some of it is displayed by hovering your cursor over the item in question.
You need to intuitively learn how fast a weapon swings and how far it can reach simply through experience. The effectiveness of your gear will be further impacted (with very little elaboration on the game's part) by the difficulty slider in the settings.
If you want more detailed weapon/armour stats, there is a Nexus mod for that. If I can find it again, I'll let you know.
Take care.
