I have to give Oblivion my vote it's the best game I have ever played.

I personally consider Morrowind my favorite, since it's much more open-ended than skyrim ever was and has a ton of content. It also had the most variety with magic and skills, particularly levitation. And of course Morrowind always felt more like an adventure, while Skyrim and Oblivion set you up right off the bat as a legendary figure. Finally, the game's leveling system wasn't entirely based on your progress; many points on the map would have daedra, vampires, and undead that you were no match for right at the start. Of course, the flaws with Morrowind are quite obvious: the combat is terrible, the graphics are quite dated, and running around the world with no fatigue lost because there are no map markers and fast travel is restricted to a small of silt-strider, boat, and mage teleporter points (though in other ways this is actually nice, but it's also really annoying).

Skyrim is generally the most fun in combat, although Oblivion's magic system is probably better since it's a lot better-looking than Morrowind's simplistic system but has a lot of the depth and variety of morrowind in it. All in all though, they're all great games.
In my opinion, Morrowind wins in terms of the setting and lore, Skyrim wins in terms of gameplay and atmosphere.

Oblivion is the worst of them all, just a "horrible" game, not that is is actually horrible, but the weakest of the three, but definitely a GREAT game. Morrowind is the best to date in terms of lore, story, setting and some aspects of gameplay where skyrim has a better fighting system (kind of) and also a decent setting.

part of what gave the Daedra and Undead that feeling of you being not strong enough was the combat, the mobs didn't need large health bars you just couldn't hit them every time if they were fast enough. the system was a work around for not being able to write great ai or have really fast paced fighting, something they still can't do today.

Morrowind for me. I really love the open ended-ness of Morrowind, the lore, and how much variety it had. To today's standards, Morrowind is pretty crappy because of the decade old graphics (well, over a decade now) and very archaic combat system. It's also quite buggy. I'm quite excited for the Skywind project to be completed.

i found out why some people think morrowind is better then skyrim which is then (according to them) better then oblivion. these people like long boring combat. in morrowind this is the chance to hit which made combat boring long and chance based especialy early game. and in skyrim it is the fact that dragons almost never land untill you have dragonrend so melee only players can be fighting them for hours in boring combat at the and of which they almost always flee.

combat tends to be a lot longer in skyrim, you have to grind away 1000s hp instead of missing a couple times for a 5 hit kill.

Eh. I like them all for different reasons.
