Any way to cap FPS ?
Title says it all. My pc runs this game at 900+ FPS and its like playing in 3x the speed. Any way to cap FPS without V-Sync because i hate the input lag from it.

Go into the .ini, there is a setting, something like iFPSClamp=0.setting it to =60 will be best.

I know this topic is old but did that help you Angry Scotsman? I have a Radeon HD 6950 with 2GB VRAM and it's climbing to around 845 fps I've changed both the ini within My Documents and the default ini in program files and to no avail it is still going extremely high causing my card issues.

That solution didnt help unfortunately, instead i forced V-Sync and Triple Buffering through Nvidia control panel so its a lot less input lag. It seems the only way is to have V-Sync on sadly, try something like that in catalyst it should work

If it didn't work it was because your graphics card settings were overiding it. I set mine via Catalyst to Vsynch off, unless application specifies. That gives the ini the ability to set the frame rate. When Vsynch is forced on, it locks the framerate. If it is forced off it won't let you manage the frame rate via the ini, I'm guessing. There is also a Vsynch on, unless application specifies setting. I don't use that setting though.

Use V-Sync to cap your fps wether it be on the oblivion launcher or forced through AMD/Nvidia GPU control panel.

Hey, will this work with Radeon cards and the Adrenaline edition? And do I set it to Off unless application forces? Or will turning VSync on in the Oblivion Launcher and editing the INI file to fps of 60 work? I have been having issues with this new playthrough, even though same card before had no problems. Maybe because I have two now and the Adrenaline software is so far ahead? Not sure, been a while since I played.

Recently when ive been playing ive been using Rivia Tuner/Msi Afterburner to cap fps and it works perfectly. Since upgrading monitors over the years forcing vsync hasnt worked properly due to high refresh rate so I would recommend using a program that caps it for you. Makes it much easier and a lot less hassle.
