What's the worst part of Oblivion?

For me it's the level scaling. One of the dumbest design decisions ever made, IMHO

I actually think Oblivion has the best UI in the entire Elder Scrolls series... short of SkyUI. But since that's a mod it doesn't count.

1) Oblivion Gates, in my opinion they are horrible, not fun and immersion breaking. And you can't mod them away. Ignoring them is something your character wouldn't do. Really bad game mechanic imo.

2) Potato faces and ugly char models. Recently i saw a brand new mod that really makes them better though.

3) Copypasta dungeons. Really cheap for an AAA title. I mean, in skyrim many dungeons look similar, but all of them has something peculiar and they never are exactly the same. In oblivion many dungeons are just identical. REally bad. There are less than a dozen model of dungeons in oblivion. In skyrim the concept arts are few, but each dungeon is hand made, and there are 350 of them.

4) level scaling is another dumb feature, really cheap. by fortune community addressed the problem very fast, so i modded that out and never see a random bandid fighting me for 10 gold while wearing a daedric armor that's worth 20000.

5) game world: a generic medieval setting, with landscapes very similar to the ones i have in my countryside, and reality is even more beautifull. Maybe an icelander thinks the same of skyrim, lol. NOBODY can say morrowind features a countryside they have in their country.

Simple! the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gates! God i hate them so much! just when you thought the first gate was bad? nope they get more hard and more hard and just wait til you get the quest to close 100 of them. it's not that the npcs are hard it's just finding the dam exit

there is not many ways you can go in the gates or at least i have never noticed, you just go to the towers right?

When you enter you'll be greeted to a maze but the objective is the top of the tower you need to pickup the sigle that lies at the top of the tower once you pick it up the realm will close and you'll teleport outside of the gate and the gate will shut.

It's not hard hard but it gets really annoying and boring after 2-3 times and the maze gets harder as you progress on closing them

2 and 5 are pretty much the same thing: repetitive dungeon delving gets really dull after awhile

3 and 4 weren't that large of a problem, but still a nuisance

1 is definitively the biggest problem of this game

There are mods to remove the level scalling and they work really good, there are thousands of mods to fix the npc faces...

HOWEVER the worst part of this game is the guards, seriously, i havent played morrowind or skyrim but the guards in this game are so fking annoying, i hope there is some mod to remove guards

I hate the engine of all the 3d-elder scrolls games. the ragdolls are really ♥♥♥♥♥♥, the combat is dull, the hitzones are poor, and all the NPC- and creature models don't seem to fit seemlessly together with the world (like when you run, the animation plays, but it doesnt fit together with the way the character is moving...do you understand what I mean?^^).

just so you know...I still played all of them at least twice^^
