Oblivion Files will not Sync

Hey, I just got a new computer today and re-installed Oblivion from steam onto it, but for some reason, after proceeding to play it, it takes forever to try and launch and shows no sign of syncing in the sidebar on my libary. Then the message pops up saying that the files cannot sync with my computer. What does this mean? Is there a way to fix it so that it runs like it should?

I am not 100% sure about your problem, but from my experience sometimes the syncing just takes a while.

I'm not sure why it says the files can't sync maybe there is a maintenance or something.

I suggest just disabling the Steam Cloud for Oblivion. You don't really need it to play. You can always back up your saves manually, which is faster. The Steam Cloud sync for Oblivion is a pain in the ass and imo it is better to just play without it.

You can try disabling the cloud temporarily and just play the game. Then turn it back on later and let it resync to see if it is working correctly.
