Bows are missing textures/meshes?

In my game every bow is just a giant exclamation mark. I'm not sure what mod is causing this issue (assuming it is a mod)

anyone got any tips? Tried using Wrye bash but it just stopped my game from lauching all together

You're not using Better Oblivion Sorting Software... You don't seem to be using bashed patch feature from Wrye Bash either.

Your meshes aren't installed properly. Just a (very educated) guess - but you NEED NEED NEED to follow install instructions if you want to use Frans and MMM together. You need to run BOSS and build a bashed patch as Marko said, and make sure you've renamed the MMM bsa to whatever it tells you in the readme for Frans+MMM.

You're asking for help. I'm giving you advice to mend your problems. I can't use the bashed patch or BOSS for you.

I 100% agree with Marko. right now without a batched patch you probably will not see MMM or Frans stuff. probably not Immersive weapons and a few others.

if that is your load order you will only get those mods loaded last that affect things such as levelled lists. Wrye bash is a must. if it crashes your game when using a bashed patch it is because you have not done the steps before correctly.

1. are you using a mod manager?
2. how abot OBSE?
3. Boss is considered outdated however people that have shown me their knowledge still use it. the newer and considered better or current is LOOT. use it.
4. once the above are done corectly you can then run Wrye Bash. even then If it lights up like a rainbow in the mods list it means you have issues. you could be missing masters or whatever.

You can use the console to spawn a bow next to you in the beginning of the game, to see which mod does it.

The mod seems to have fixed itself by doing this, I have all the same mods installed and the issue has gone. Thank you for all the tips though, everyone.

hopefully it is long term however any new bows and other items may still cause problems later without he proper steps.I hold out hope but have encountered enough problems to always expect the worst.
