OOO
http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/46199/?
must haves
unofficial patch
http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/5296/?
see other mods section for tools and other mods you may need/want plus the rest for mods in general
http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1483493-an-up-to-date-mod-list-created-2014-03-08/
1.2.0.416 is latest version
So 1.2.0416 and 1.2.416 are quite same version.
OOO had final updated in 2015 version is 136. you can get 136 on NEXUS.
http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/46199/
Oscruros Overhaul is still decent one but not essencial mod.
during your absence there goes Oblivion Reloaded project is gonig on.
http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/45749/
It is a great achievement.
It makes this game something new.
And in 2015 there comes another greate work.
Oblivion Content Restoration Project
http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/45909/
It picks up many abandoned quests chacters etc into live.
Be careful do not intsall OCO or OCOv2(Character overhaul)
if you wnat to play Oblivion Content Restoration Project.
the only differece with deluxe is you get all the DLCs and not just Shivering Isles and |KNights of the Nine. OOO does in fact work perfectly with all DLCs. There is however a few Shivering isles files that must be used if you want the changes in Shivering Isles. those are included with the OOO download
Just one more question though, do you use Nexus Mod Manager or Oblivion Mod Manager for your mods? because I used to install them all manually, now there are so many mods with different conflicts that I'm guessing you need a mod manager to avoid the conflicts.
Just checked the link from itis4u and it would seem that NMM, OBMM, BOSS, TES4Edit & Wrye Bash are used .... Oh boy this may take some time before I even get to play the game.
It is still simply easy way for TES4 MODDING.
And BOSS and Wrye Bash will helps you.
Do you know more about the Oblivion Restoration Project? How do the makers know what was missing from the game?
Normally the mod maker/s either were involed in making the game or they find the unused files/coding in the game and decode them
So I watched the link below and only use it for it's most basic functions but because I like to add and remove alot of mods it makes sense for me to use it however it is said it is not for the beginner. Because You have done it manually you may not be a beginner.
It has an out of date loot function but sense I understand load order and conflicts fairly well it serves my purposes. It currently can be used with Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout, and New Vegas. You can use the full version if you want.
I then used Wrye bash for the patch and also to help with conflicts and missing masters.
I have used Tes4Edit in the past but because I do not spend hundreds of hours on the same character I have not bothered to clean any mods and not worried about long term isues related to not cleaning them.

Just watch the intro vid. Decide for yourself if it could for you. If not keep it in mind but OBMM and NMM will do most people just fine.
Also anytime you see to use BOSS mntioned use LOOT instead as BOSS is obsolete and hasn't been updated in a very long time.
Good luck and any other questions do ask as someone with intelligence will respond eventually but you may have to deal with me first.
Wow, cool. It's not finished yet, this mod? But some of it is playable already?
