The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (2009)

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (2009)

Let's Play in 4K!
Hey folks! Just a heads up. I've started a Let's Play of Oblivion with a bunch of mods over on my YouTube channel. It's also available in 4k resolution, so it's going to look really nice!

If you don't have a 4k display, you can still view it in 1080p60, and since it's downscaled from 4k it will look better than your typical 1080p60 video.

Hope you enjoy! I'm going to have a lot of fun with it and explore various mods and all sorts of good stuff, so tag along for the ride. It's sure to be a crazy adventure in Cyrodiil. =)

Here's episode 1 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LC2tt74WqSE

That must've taken long to upload.

A few hours, total.

Unfortunately, my internet connection has a great download speed, but is only capped to 10 Mbps upload. Therefore, it does take awhile to upload each episode, since the videos themselves are around 15 GB.

It's worth it, though. They look really nice in 4k. =)

I watched your video on youtube itself
Nice looking.

not bad. it is always nice when the player doesn't know everything that is going to happen. I caught myself not quite yelling at the screen but i was a little loud

SHIFT and CLICK. to delete it is SHIFT and CLICK.
also
TURN AROUND. you are going the wrong way.
glad you figured it out.
anyways if you are so inclined to do so can you list the mods that you are using?

I also see you have the 2nd episode on youtube and that will be viewed over my next couple of meals.

good job.

Thanks for the positive comments!

The funny thing is, I have a mod enabled called Real Lights. In other words, places with no natural lighting are pitch black, and the torch helps a bit, but you can't see but a few feet in front of you! However, when I upload the videos to YouTube, whatever encoding method they use actually changes the video so that it's bright and you can see everything. Weird, huh?

So, please keep in mind I basically can't see much when I'm playing, heh. It did help to light up a new torch, apparently the one I was using was low on flame or something. =P

More videos will definitely come. I'm having a blast with it thus far, and it looks lucious on my 4k monitor. I look forward to exploring a lot of the mods I'm using and checking out some of these great additions.

As for a list, I will make a video soon showing my entire load order and mods I've chosen to use. Will do that soon, for sure.

Thanks again and see you both on YouTube! =)

Are these nexus mods? I was thinking about playing it again but with updated texture and lighting packs if there were some.

Yep! They are all Nexus mods. Super easy to install for the most part once you know what you are doing, and well worth any effort it takes to install them.

I installed Better Cities and will be showcasing it heavily in my Let's Play. Check out the latest episodes for some of that. =)
