No saved games

So I've been playing for the last couple of days, saving as stop playing and suddenly this morning as I went to play Oblivion, I went to load the game and it said "no saved games". Help?

Check your documents for any save files. Check to see if you can get the Steam Cloud to upload any saves to your machine, if you use the cloud. I disable mine and make my own backup periodically.

Lastly you might try system restore and see if it restores your saves.

Place it in your saves folder for Oblvion, typicaly

"C:\Users\[UserName]\Documents\My Games\oblivion\"

It's already in there. That's where I found it. I just doesn't seem to let me load the actual save once in game.

Try copying it and then rename it something else like save test.ess. Put it in the saves folder in your documents.

It was a recent one, I didn't lose any progress.

I had a similar issue, the file extention was different so when I changed it to .ess it started to work again.
