How to check and get OBSE working?
I've gotten things like patches and SOME mods working but Oblivion Script Extender seems to not work, therefore some mods that require it only half work or not at all. So my question is:How can I check if it's working with Steam's Oblivion and if it isn't how would I fix it?

Read to save yourself some time answering:
I extracted the loader and installed it with obse_editor_1_2.dll, obse_command_doc.html, obse_1_2_416.dll, and obse_steam_loader.dll
Yes I always run in admin

Did you 'enable steam overlay'? obse wont run without it

You can check your obse work by "obse.log" file.
This file is created by OBSE and located in Oblivion Install folder (Same folder where obse_1_2_416.dll is).

obse_loader.log is generated, I suspect that is from me trying to run the game through the loader rather than steam, as it always kicks me out and tells me to do just that with steam overlay, which I have always done

Did you read the instructions? You have to follow the instructions for OBSE's Steam installation down to every word.
Well I mean I thought I did: http://imgur.com/qmhE529

THIS FRIGGIN' GAME
So while you were all away I did some research and apparently just running steam as admin or disabling UAC allowed OBSE to work, even tested it with a plugin made for testing it.
So i'll try installing some mods that require OBSE now and if it gives me further problems I will post in the thread once again.

obse test mod.

you may need to install obse mods directly into your Data folder and not managed by a mod manager.
