Windows 10 Audio
After updating my pc from windows 7 to 10 the audio has changed a lot. For example most of the background sounds i.e. equipping weapons in your inventory and sneaking have disappeared or gone entirely; however the music and some audio has remained. Is their anyway of fixing this or will it be corrected in future windows 10 updates?

I suggest looking into updated audio drivers that specify they work for Windows 10. If you are using Realtek, the latest drivers should be Windows 10 compatable.

Ugh. This was driving me nuts too. But I've been running 10 for a while but the audio problem only started this past week. Not sure what changed. I was having the exact same problem on Oblivion, Fallout: New Vegas, and Magicka at least. Might have been happening on other games that I can't be sure of.

Anyway, I updated the Realtek drivers and that didn't fix it. After updating and restarting, I unplugged my speakers and plugged them back in. Bizarrely, that seems to have reinitialized the audio output. I have an msi board, and it popped up the audio configuration utility to verify my speaker settings. Just toggling the settings before updating the drivers didn't do anything. At any rate the problem hasn't come back since then. I just hope it's well and truly gone. Not sure if that's any help at all.
