The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (2009)

first person too zoomed in
Since i downloaded some mod off nexus, all of my saves have this issue where both my sword and shield are either off screen or clipping through my head. Ive turned off the mod and deleted all of it yet it still affects my game. Please help!

fov <value>
Changes the FOV (field of view) of the player
This command works only with the first person camera and it unfortunately resets every time you speak to a character or change camera. The <value> is in degrees. The default FOV is 75, but a FOV of 90 may be desirable. Setting fDefaultFov in Oblivion.ini to a desired FOV to will keep the FOV from reseting; however changing the value in Oblivion.ini will alter the size of the menu layer causing a number of visual bugs and clicking issues. Due to how 3D to 2D projection works, edges will look stretched with high FOVs. Values over 180 and under 0 will have no effect. Setting a FOV of 0 will restore the default FOV. This command can be useful for zooming into distant areas of the environment (it is essentially how "zooming" works in many video games) but obviously, it will not override the game's drawing distance for objects and scenery.

no idea what it will do or if it will help but it is worth a try. try different numbers in game if 1 works good change it in the ini file. make a copy of the original just in case.

I guess you could just check the ini and see what the number is set at right now.

Just tried that. In the INI file its already at 75 so it not the ini. file. IN-game using commands, it workes for a second before returning to its zoomed in mode. Im also missing my crosshairs if that helps.

Oblivion reloaded. Dont worry about it, i fixed the issue. One of the mod files was still in the data folder so i deleted it and the problem disapeared.

Well, if you ever want to use Oblivion Reloaded, just go into the OBSE folder, go to plugins, go to the OblivionReloaded.ini file and go to cameramode, delete the 1 and put 0.
EDIT: derp, misread the title. You can also adjust the FOV in the INI file though, so that might do something.
