nevermind its ♥♥♥♥♥♥ again , loading and saving worked fine before i turned off the game , im utterly clueless as to what might be causing it cause once again im not getting any sort of error message

I'd suggest you delete your Oblivion.ini file and restart the game and see how it goes. If it keeps crashing delete the file again and try a new game. If you're not sure where the ini file is located go to C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\Oblivion

i loaded the 1st save and then saved over one of the latest and it works fine , but then i tried loading the latest save (save #437 lol) the loading bar moved slightly and then it crashed , if i got an error message i would at least know whats wrong with the damn game , i dont even get a message about it being corrupted , it just crashes

Same for me. I'll post if I find the fix.

i looked around the net for the past 2 days and all i found was people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about how its their mods causing it , it would be a shame if i had to start from lvl 1 again
Omega Aug 16, 2021 @ 7:45am
Well we don't play with mods. So that won't help us. lol

I got it working! ok....
Run steam in admin. Right click steam, go to properties, Compatibility, then check the box (Run this program as an administrator). Next step is to copy the steam application to the game file.
Local Disk (C:), Program Files (x86), Steam
Now copy the application called (steam)
Next paste (steam) into the Oblivion file.

Local Disk (C:), Program Files (x86), Steam, steamapps, common.
Scroll down to Oblivion. Right click. Paste.
Have FUN!

I think the problem is to do with a memory overflow. But this worked for me.

welp it worked the first time by fully loading and then crashing but now its back to the same old crash the moment i click load , guess its over for that char lol , maybe that fix of yours will prevent it happening again

Try running Compatibility on Oblivion. I'm using XP pack 3.

Try verifying the game cache integrity. Reinstalling the game might fix the issue too.
