How do I get out of conversations?

I've pressed every button on my keyboard

use the mouse and find the x button on the bottom left corner of your screen next to the button with the face

During a conversation with an NPC there is no way to exit and you have to wait for the dialogue to end but you can speed it up with the spacebar.

lol had the same problem for like 10 minutes raging before I figured out the wonky crossed swords symbol was an X

I never knew someone couldn't figure out the most basic of functions, as in clicking a self explanatory button with the mouse.

I feel like the entirety of our species lost at least part of an IQ point because of this. We really need to start actually at least trying to be better.

You can also skip through the conversation by hovering the mouse pointer over the dialogue and clicking the left button.
