So, if you tweak the load order in OBMM, it should work fine, even though the Data Files thing says everything's exactly where it always was. I've definitely had times when I needed to move a thing up or down a couple of places in OBMM's load order and that made a difference in game.
Keep in mind that you may need to run BOSS if you install any new mods and any unrecognized mods will have to be manually placed to the best of your ability. You will also have to re-adjust all unrecognized mods if you run BOSS again after installing any new mods in the future.
It seems then the load order saves after changing it in OBMM, even if I'm not launching it from it. The reason for me asking, was the fact that I installed a mod, a patch for a different mod. This mod, I wanted to load after the mods in need of patching, but BOSS changed it to before. And when I couldn't launch the game, however I changed the load order, I thought maybe OBMM didn't really change the load order. But I mean, the problem could just as easily be with the mod. I think I'll just leave that mod be for now.
Another option is to manually edit the master list for BOSS so that the mod will load after the ones you want to patch. It's only a txt file and can be edited using Notepad.
