I installed it three times from three different sites. The possibility of it being corrupted from three different sources are astronomically low.
Darnified UI is a fantastic mod but unfortunately it doesnt seem to work on all current hardware. I used it all the time on my non-steam version of OBLIVION. For some reason though with Steam it doesnt work and its the same problem with BT Mod. Seems the only games which give me no problem with mods are Steam based games like SKYRIM and FALLOUT NEW VEGAS.
You might want to disable the Steam ingame overlay under settings which might fix the problem. I know it fixed graphical issues for me when playing older games like QUAKE and HERETIC etc.

Yes. All texts became black, enormous, and I could no longer use the mouse. [/quote]
the same with me. i've used darnified before, and it worked just fine. i bought a new pc, installed oblivion and all mods in exactly same order than before, but now texts are black, and mouse is off.
i've tried that. put the font specifications again. the problem is still there. i'm really upset. now that i can run oblivion at maximum resolution, it doesn't work. =/
Still, you allowed me to see that nobody bothered to give other solutions, save for Bishop (who tried).
Had this exact issue with the steam version.
Fixed it somehow by:
Installing Darnified through OBMM as an OMOD
-Chose to install all features
-custom font 1 and no quest received options
-picked the first font there after default
-picked Large for font size
Magically works, only difference from the many other installs I have tried seems to be using the large font size. It is possible that other settings will work fine as long as the large size is chosen.
This would suggest that either the steam version or my operating system has issues with the smaller version of the fonts.
It could also be an issue with the oblivion.ini not registering the path to the smaller fonts properly although I did examine the file after each install and the font paths seemed to be fine and pointing to the right files.

EDIT: Formatting is a nightmare.
Alright, how about using the Darnified UI on the Steam version of Oblivion using the Mod Organizer?
I don't think you can install it using Mod Organizer. You'll have to install it manually. Whatever tool you use to manage the rest of your mods doesn't matter.
