The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (2009)

Thinking of buying it
Im thinking of buying elder scrolls oblivion, but its not at its historical low so idk if i wait until it goes to its lowest again. I can only go up from here too, like dark souls did. What should I do?

It's cheaper than a burger, just buy the thing if you want it

You can get thousands of hours out of this game.

Yeah but i mean, its proly going to get a promotion in august, so if its lower i'll buy it then. I couldnt live with myself if i waste 4 bucks on a game and ot even a month later it goes to 3.

Fair enough, I guess. But, I highly doubt it will be less than now. I think this is the least it’s ever been.

So, $5 is too much for a game that will entertain you for *many* hours? Are you waiting for them to give it to you? :steamfacepalm:

As a really hard up penny pinching pensioner, I would say, life is too short to waste worrying about a pound which is less than the price of one small chocolate bar or two apples. Treat yourself. Four quid now or possibly (if you are lucky) three quid sometime in the unpredictable future; just think of all those lost hours of pleasure.

I have circa 1600 hours since upgrading to the steam version. That, at the current price works out at a bank breaking < 0.25p per hour. and counting down daily.

Skyblivion will be released only next year, so...You have time to wait for the next huge discount. Perhaps, the Winter sale will be your lucky.

If it is released at the planned time it will be free, BUT, it will require that all users already own both Skyrim (with all DLC) and Oblivion (with all DLC). It will not run if these requirements are not met.

My guess is that both Skrym and Oblivion prices will stabilise, or may even go up due to increased demand rather than down. Businesses seldom refrain from making increased profits when an opportunity presents itself. But, who knows for sure.

If I was to the point where a difference in price of 1 dollar had become significant, I'd stop playing games entirely and get a (or another, or a better) job and investigate less expensive living arrangements.
