No console, I need immersive ways,
Ah, it's alright! We'll only secretly judge you.
If you're really in need of septims, then just keep clearing out dungeons and plenty of crates and chests will have coins, if you're up for all that effort.
It's magic.
Dzonot Cave: At the bottom of the hill at the Imperial City stables near the water.
Fort Homestead: South of the Imperial City
Fort Alessia: SE of the Arcane University across the water, near the bridge.
Fort Cedrian: Far SE of the Imperial City.
Fort Wooden Hand: West of the Imperial City Waterfront.
Infested Mine: Far North of Kvatch
Sercen: North of the Imperial City.
Rock Milk Cave. North of Leyawiin, near Borderwatch.
Each of those locations has a Ring Leader Boss, who have a random leveled enchanted weapon and several pieces of enchanted armor. Chances are you will find a replacement weapon and armor that is better than what you have now.
You can farm these areas every 3 game days when the cells reset, so you can improve your equipment and sell what you don't need. The Ring Leaders are leveled, so they will always have good gear for you to use or sell at all levels. You may need to be at least level 3 for them to start having enchanted items.
If you save your game before entering the area with the Ring Leader, you can reload until they have something good you can use or something valuable you can sell.
In oblivion, pick flowers, make poison, sell poison, buy more, sell for more, rinse, repete.
Unless it's one of your major skills, Alchemy is an easy way to make some money. Go to the farm outside Skingrad. If you pick all of the grapes you should end up with around 100 of them. Hit up the smaller farms (the one just East of Weynon Priory is an easy one to find). A lot (maybe most) of the food items have Restore Fatigue as their first effect. Craft a ton of those.
That's why I need to fix the sword
