Menu Mouse Sensitivity Fix?
I've literally spent 40mins trying to Google a fix to increase mouse sensitivity in menus to no avail, is there actually a solution ?

Is it going slow or too fast?

From memory, the options menu just affects in-game sensitivity, whereas menus remain unchanged. I'll assume that's it's slow, since a fair amount of people also seem to have had this problem.

You can try editing the sensitivity in the control panel or tweaking with the relevant settings under the .ini files to see if that helps. Since some others appear to have had your same issue, I'll post these possible solutions to see if they help:

I had the opposite problem. For me Oblivion, Fallout New Vegas, and Fallout 3 all had way too high menu sensitivity. If that is your problem then you can turn off mouse acceleration in the .ini files. If the menu sensitivity is too low then I don't know what to tell you.

Get a switchable dpi mouse :D

You can just increase it when you go into the menus, and decrease it when not.

You can get them for like 30 bucks.

You will need to buy a mouse with adjustable CPI. Due to the way Oblivion retrives mouse data, your mouse's CPI is used not the adjusted CPI value from the mouse control panel.

Everyone just about should have a mouse with adjustable CPI these days. Careful what you buy though some mice are advertised to have adjustable CPI but it is a bit of a fib because they only allow you to chose from a few preset levels.

Logitech's mice allow full range adjustment, some of there newest mice all for adjustment in increments of 50 which is the smallest I have seen. Get a mouse that allows for adjustments in increments of 100 or less.

or just get one with 5 presets and save like 70 percen of the money :D

what line needs to be changed in oblivion to remove acceleration, because it's not the same as fallout

I'm not sure. I didn't turn it off in Oblivion because it didn't bother me as much as in Fallout.

Although Necromancy has been banned by the Mages guild here I am, digging up a dead post!

Had this problem, just suffered it for a long while until I got fed up. I could imagine how insane this made mouse users. I have a trackball and it was pretty bad.

The way I fixed this is cranking up my mouse sensitivty outside of game, be it your standard windows mouse software or the software your mouse uses. Crank it all the way up and work your way down from there. Kind of an annoying work around, but works till you're done with game. Just make note your mouse speeds are going to be ludicrous outside of obivion menus, adjust accordingly.

So in short:break mouse sensitivity for everything but oblivion menus, get carpel tunnel, or buy a DPI switched mouse at the very least, got it.

Reducing the screen resolution to 1280x600 also works well. Bethesda didn't scale mouse speed with pixel density. [Credit goes to omegafortytwo at NexusMods site.]

Thank you! This worked so well! (Only downside is it made my UI super small with Darnified UI mod on, but eh, this is way more important, I'm happy to just ditch that mod.)

FIXED ran the game at 1080p instead of 4k and the menu mouse speed was back to normal.
