Black Screen on launch?
I keep trying different things here but i get a totally blank screen after the first bethesda and 2k logo after I launch. The only thing that has fixed it has been launching in windowed mode but Im not trying to play in windowed mode. Any help??

There are several things to try:
- Un- and re-install.
- Disable HDR and / or bloom.
- Delete my games\oblivion folder in \(your user)\documents and launch again.
Do you have savegames? If yes, back them up before you try the third option.

If this doesn't help, please tell us more about your PC (OS, graphics card, etc.).

ohhh yeehhh i forgot about the HDR problem, my bad bro, ye hdr and this game go together like cereal and water, yk?

One more thing: It might be a codec issue. Do you hear something (game sounds) when your screen is black? It would mean that the game software runs (possibly loops), sounds get to your sound device, but the game graphics don't manage to get to your monitor.
If yes, please search the internet for "oblivion codec problem" or similar.

i'm having this issue too. did you end up fixing it? fresh install and HDR and bloom is off, but no luck.

Might be a codec problem. Unfortunately, I'm not technical enough to adequately analyse and resolve it remotely. Your PC specs?

i have an amd ryzen 7 4800h cpu, 16 gigs of ram, and an rtx 3050 ti. 1gb ssd if that matters as well.

Anyone fix that? i try turn everything off, compatibility modes, admin mode, but the game just show a black screen and "Stop working"

Any luck? My game is straight up vanilla and fresh install and I cant even get to the menu.. HDR and bloom didnt fix anything.. Very irritating
