How to kill Caelia Draconis without a bounty?

No matter what I do I always end up with a 40 or 1000 bounty. Even in the Inn when there is nobody nearby, she can still somehow report me and I get bounty. This game can get very frustrating because of its stupidity.

Just your imagination. I am starting to think the purpose of you posting in this thread is just trolling ...

Just because you don't like a 100% legit solution, that doesn't nullifies it. You can as well play the game naked with no armor and an Iron Dagger with 100% difficulty, so you taste challenge,and get owned all the time and not to have an advantage against the enemies in the game.
people are not obliged to put these kinds of restrictions on their gameplay because you see the mechanics they use OP. What you think =/= reality. Period...

She doesn't report you because she is a guard, so attacking her will naturally assign you a bounty for assault. You can get around this by using a 100% strength Chameleon spell, which lets you kill anyone without them noticing you at all.

If your Illusion skill is not very high, acquiring a few chameleon potions and the spectre ring (this is bugged due to a scripting error that assigns its ownership to someone else instead of the Red Diamond Jewelry's store owner) but I presume you already use the UOP anyway. In short, find a way to get to 100% chameleon, and stealth kill her :)

Kinda feel bad having to kill her, though... otherwise, the easier and cheaper way is to just murder her on the spot and run to Armand Christophe or S'krivva and pay off your bounty if you're a member of the Thieves Guild.

I still got a bounty. 100% chameleon does not help with guards.

Killing her with 100% chameleon worked when she was sleeping in guards barracks with 12 other guards in room with one staring right at her. Oblivion logic.

I was just playing it recently on console and doing that quest. I wonder if killing any other guard that's asleep like that avoids the dumb 1000 bounty nonsense.

I know this is an ancient thread, but there is a way to kill Caelia Draconis bounty-free without any chameleon, any artifact, or really much in the way of skills. Simply lure her into the Leyawiin chapel Undercroft (The Great Chapel of Zenithar) and let the ghosts kill her.

She is near the chapel twice a day: early in the morning when she walks through the graveyard on her way to her enormously-long breakfast-lunch-tea at the Three Sisters' Inn, and around 3 PM when she emerges from her gorge-fest. At either point, tell here you "need to see her dead" (she will agro on you) and then run for the chapel.

Go into the chapel, run down the steps to the lower level, enter the Undercroft (I like to pick the locks in advance to feel like I am preparing my trap in the manner of a professional assassin), and then start doing laps from one side room to the other. The Undercroft is laid out perfectly to allow you to avoid getting hit by Caelia: run down the middle going into a side room, around a column to either side, back towards the main room while Caelia barrels down the middle, cut back through the door and repeat. You should dodge the ghosts and let Caelia suffer their frustrated wrath.

A couple of notes:
1. Take off any Reflect Damage gear. If Caelia manages to hit you and you are Reflecting, you will be charged with assault.
2. Put on any Resist Magic or Absorb Spell stuff you have in case you get hit by the ghost's spells.

if you do a archer you can pop in a door and if really fast you loose the arrow to their face and at the same time exit the door.. you even if seen no murder charge... use to do it on the 360 when i was like 15.... more than 15 years ago

I know this probably won't help as it isn't a guarantee but I just did this by following her around leyawin and coming across a mythic dawn agent. While Caelia is clearly stronger there is no negative Impact for healing the agent while they duke it out then just kill the agent when he has killed Caelia. Quick. Easy. No bounty

Talk to her and tell her that you need her dead, she will attack you with no bounty, now head into the church and then into the undercroft and she will follow. There are ghosts here, sneak and cast the favourite invisibility spell (you should have brought Deadly Visage, at least) and let the ghosts take her out.

I did this she does not want to come in the undercroft I waited for a few min to an hr and nothing..... But when I go out the door she's there and ready to attack but will not enter with you.
