Atronach Mage and Willpower
I am going to be a mage with the Atronach birth-sign, because magica won't be regenerating do I need willpower as an attribute?
Although bearing in mind Willpower is the governing attribute for Destruction, Alteration and restoration.

Besides being a governing attribute, which is significant in itself, it also plays into Fatigue. Still, of little use in the long run. Just make sure you focus on your Alchemy!

I played an Atronach Mage until lvl 10 when the grind of it finally wore me down. It's definitely doable, but it's a grind. At least the ingredients you need are cheap and plentiful, unlike with a prior game.

Thank you for replying Brandybuck. Won't the lack of willpower impact those spells though, I'm asking because I have never played this type of character.

For an Atronach mage, picking Willpower as a class attribute affects the starting skill levels, otherwise it does not affect those spells. As it states in the wiki: "Players who take the Atronach birthsign have no need to increase willpower other than for the purpose of increasing their Fatigue score."

Another good idea is getting the spell to summon ghosts ASAP. Punch them a few times, then let them blast you. Works even better as a Breton or Nord as you'll resist their frost spells. Or be an Orc for custom drain intelligence spells and minor magic resistance, but custom spells are quite laste in the game.

One bit of warning. Reflect magic gets counted before absorb magic, so if you have any reflect magic gear it will take away from your chance to absorb magic.

Thank you all for replying, I've got a lot to think about
