JoyToKey problems

First time using this ive been trying my best to setup a profile. Ive mapped most of the keys to emulate what i was getting on ps3 but i still keep getting a few problems that I cant find a solution for. Maybe someone here can help. I can also post my cfg file if it helps too.


1) The interact button only works on doors. If i try to use it to select save files or load files, or equip items for example, nothing happens. Similarly dropping items with L2+X (A on 360 controller) or just square (X on a 360 controller) also do nothing. This forces me to use the left touchpad button or the space bar. Ive tried mapping the both and clearly they work for doors and getting on the horse just not in menus for some reason.

2) in the wait and barter menus L2 and R2 had a seperate function to fast scroll left and right. Here they do nothing

3) a) Dpad latency is far too long. Takes like 3 seconds to bring up a hotkey

b) the dpad doesnt seem to work in menus at all.

I feel i am very close to getting this to work I just cannot find anything online to fix the issues above. A workaround is just use touchpad in menus but im not prepared to do that

Thats the video i watched. I copied his config file in and it was not usable. All the mappings were completely different. I ended up using trial and error to get a 75% workable file. I am still getting issues with the dpad movement and other keys during menus. Im guessing someone with more advanced knowledge could look at my cfg file and see why these things are happening. 99% sure its just a setting in the program I cant figure out

I appreciate the help but that link doesnt really address any of the issues im getting. I dont need any help with the left or right analog sticks functions they seem to be working ok. The problems i am getting seem like a more advanced issue. Also they only setup 4 hotkeys when yoy can actually just use 1-8 for all the hotkeys

I dont know why they just havent made proper controller support for this game. Its ridiculous that people have to resort to all this stuff with such a big game.

This controller i have (logitech F310) works with 8 other games fine so clearly the problem is oblivions controller support. I just hope someone whos used it can help me out ive spent almost 2 weeks on this now and all ive done is just load up my save outside sewers testing over and over to see fails

here a few options delete your Oblivion. Ini it's located under documents>my games>Oblivion. if that doesn't work put the mod somewhere else in your load order if that doesn't work try installing unofficial Oblivion patch http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/5296/?

* why this says disabled I have no idea. I set the same POV in joystic 2 and it doesnt say disabled. I have no issue with the mappings for the Dpad hotkeys though my issues are with it not working in menus and the latency is horrible it takes like 3 seconds for the hotkey to appear

As I said in my first post the main issues are in menus with the DPAD, activate, and L1/L2R1/R2 buttons not working at all. I can get around this by just using the touchpad + left touchpad button but its cumbersome and really detracts from the immersion

oh that's reminded me of an annoying issue I got with the site a few days ago. I aigned up. had to resend verfication email twice because after 10 minutes none arrived. When it finally arrived and I confirmed account I logged in it would keep saying "you need to be logged in" when I tried to download that file. I "logged in", even though I was already logged in and it still kept saying it. yeah ... 5 mins later no verification email (and no its not in junk)

thinking of buying that Steam Controller but i just have a feeling it's probably still not going to work with this game. By the way i downloaded that patch and it didnt make any difference with the controls

I actually have a 360 controller but it didnt work when i tried to plug and play. The Logitech F310 did. Also i use this logitech on 9 other PC games without a single issue

oh well...fkin brilliant now my controller has fked up on ESO. 99% sure its through messing around with oblivion mods. Sigh. Now both games are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up
