oblivion stuck in the private gardens

i am stuck in the private gardens inside the house of dementia how do i get out? i dont have a key.help!!!!

Did you replace Syl as the Duchess of Dementia? Did you enter the Private Gardens through Xirethard? Both these are known bugs that cause you to be stuck in the Private Gardens.

Reload an earlier save.

entered through xirethard ,i tried to reload. i even tried sheagoraths protection . no good eather way.even looked for a code for a key, but dont know what key to look for.

If you can jump high enough you can activate the ladder under the statue of Sheogorath and this can get you out. As far as I can recall, there is no key. The only solution is to reload a save prior to entering by way of Xirethard.

Bit late t see the thread, but open the console and type in "coc (destination id)" without the "s. "coc SENSCastleSheogorath" should take you to the main hall of the palace. Though you might want to use the "tcl" command to get inside the actual building afterwards. Hope that halps.

Or, and i was stupid not to think of this before, open the console, click on the door in question and type unlock. Much simpler.
