crash because of missing battlehorn dlc esp file

unofficial patch crashes game because of battlehorn.esp file seems to be missing, and i have deluxe edition so it should be there but i dont know what is wrong

Does it crash when you load the game up from Steam or when you press new or load game in the main menu? If you use wyre bash or another mod manager, check to make sure all of your official DLC's are enabled. You can do this in the games main menu if you can get there without crashing

Further Suggestion 1, yes all DLC should be present in Delxue version of the game however not a good idea to assume because there are certain situations that can cause this problem a good one being that your drive has gone bad and you lost some sectors that the file was on. another one is that you used the mod manager to uninstall it to figure out a bigger problem with the mods you installed and forgot to reinstall it. A third is that the file data became corrupt and the file will not load.

If you truly find that the file is indeed missing you can reacquire it by going to your steam launcher find the game and right click on it and click on properties then choose verify files.

Did you check that, when launching the game in the pre-game menu, you have the DLC checked in the Data Files section? Because if it's not then the game acts has if you don't have the DLC, has it's not activated. Just to make sure you know where Im talking about: When you first launch the game you get a small menu-like launcher, that says "Play game", "Options", etc, there there's an option called "Data Files", go there and check that the box next to the Battlehorn DLC is checked, if it's not, that was deffinetly the problem and checking it should fix it.
