Early vampirism and Chapels
Okay, I have been infected with the disease that causes vampirism, and I visited a chapel and prayed there. Can that stop the disease, or do I still need to cure myself before I actually become a vampire?

Provided you didn't actually become a vampire, then yes, that cures it, under your active effects you shouldn't have a drain fatigue by 5 points effect.

Thanks. I assumed it would, but I needed to be sure.
If you start the early stages of vampirism or become a full-fledged one, make sure you do the Cure Vampirism quest. You must speak with the Count of Bravil then it will branch off from there. At the end of the quest, you'll be cured and have immunity to vampirism.

But my gray fox had been vampire through thieves guild quest line.
Being Vampire is too good for thief life.
And curing vampire quest is fun.

The disease Porphyric Hemophilia gives you vampirism if you have it for three days (72 hours) in game time. The only visible effect in your journal is Drain Fatigue 5 points. You have a small chance to catch this disease every time you get hit by a vampire, and it ignores disease resistance. Once that time is up, sleeping triggers your transformation into a vampire. If you don't want to become a vampire, use an altar or other Cure Disease effect to get rid of it before then.

There is a glitch in the game that makes the three days incubation time carry over between infections. For example, if you have Porphyric Hemophilia for 48 hours, cure it, and then sometime later get infected again, you will only have 24 hours to get rid of it before it's too late. UOP fixes this.

Once you've transformed, the only ways to get rid of vampirism are the Vampire Cure quest or, if you have Vile Lair DLC, just take the Purgeblood Salts to get rid of it. Once you cure your vampirism, you can never get transformed into a vampire again.

Once you're a vampire, you have to seek another way to cure yourself, but if you don't yet have red eyes, you can use the chapels.
