Since you took conjuration as a major skill, you can use summon bound axe spell.
Bound Axe is usefull for low level characters.
And thogh you got light armor as main you should use heavy shield.
at least in vanilla, that was only really true until you mastered one of the two armour skills, at which point it no longer mattered since they were effectively identical
of course, getting light to master by facetanking big hits isn't a wise decision so, in that regard, you're pretty much correct
In TES4 you can walk around only with clothes if you play with vanilla magic systems.
Elemetal shield is very common thing.
All my characters usually wear no armor only use Shields.
Shield will be Spellbreaker or Escutcheon of Chorrol both are easy to aquire.
you can actually sneak in heavy armour without too much trouble, since the game only checks for the weight of your boots, not the rest of your armour
so prior to getting sneak to journeyman(?) you just take off your boots when sneaking, and voila!
If you want decent meele damage you seriously need the repair skill for early levels. This can and will make you a beast with even basic weaponry until about 20 (the it gets harder and you need magical gear.) As for block you shouldnt be using it as a primary method of damage avoidance while using light armour (as stated above.) the purpose would be to stun attackers and use in a pinch when you cannot avoid an attack while cornered, or while advancing on archers.
imo conjuration, alchemy, illusion, and destruction are crutches. if you are pouring points into these you aren't focusing on the meele damage you say you want. Its difficult to play properly as pure meele but completely feasible, people just dont have the patience (or understanding.) to use it efficently.
Find it is very hard wearing Light Armor as he is slow fighter so got hit many times)
Now he is level 3 and wearing Heavy Armor ....(His Heavy armor skill grows very rapidly although heavy armor is his minor skill)
This time i don't use much MODs, combat system is almost vanilla +8 settings (enemy deal x1.8 damage / player deals 0.55 damage)
Only one monster's mod is "Creature Diversity"
When he was in level 1, he was killed by Boars many times or some Bears.
Being level3 he can handle many situation.
As far as i played this character Conjuration and Light Armor skills are useless
