Oblivion Won't Launch

Just re-downloaded oblivion and every time I try and start the game it doesn't get to the launch menu. I tried going into the game files to start it but I can't get past the launcher. Any help would be appreciated.

I have found a solution to my end of the issue, I'm using Vortex mod manager, and I've found that if I press the play button icon in the top left corner, it skips the launcher and just boots up the game, and it actually functions. So the Launcher is the issue as far as I can tell from what I've found works. Crashing ever 15-20 seconds is still an issue however, so I'm just giving up at this point. Can't see any means to fix this so I'm just going to leave it alone.

I have windows 11 updated last week and nvidia graphics card driver updated last week.

the vanilla game launcher/game last patched in ?2007? still works.
the vanilla game is not crashing every 15-20 seconds.
vanilla game also works on my 2011 desktop running win 10.

game opening in a small windows in upper left corner usually indicates game is using the default oblivion.ini in the steam game folder and is NOT reading/using the oblivion.ini file in your Documents\My Games\Oblivion folder

good evening, I have the game of the year version, the game freezes on the fourth home screen just when the Zenimax legend appears, after this I have to use the task manager to force the game to close, does anyone have a solution? I appreciate.
