The nexus site has tutorials with information on how to download and use mods. It would be easier to find information there that could help you, rather than to try and use this forum. Too much information to convey for this type of post lol. I hope that you can find what you need. :)

Trust me, I've been there and the mod site don't explain it in such specific way sadly :/

Sorry to hear that. I don't use OBMM, but use Nexux Mod Manager myself, only to tweak my load order though. I did an internet search with the topic "how to use Oblivion Mod Manager" and saw rhat there is a youtube for it. I would post the link but I don't know how. :/

Great! Glad I was able to help after all. :)
I Use NMM and Wrye Bash, also "Mod Organizer" came out recently it aims to replace BOSS yet i think BOSS is much quicker for those that want to just sort MODS out get in and play the game, in my opinion they should keep BOSS functional, as for Nexus MODS download them in "Save As" to my HDD and make sure you have a good Virus Scanner :)

These help.

Download Oblivion Mod Manager, OBMM, which also has a nifty conflict detector. Mod conflicts, such as two mods that do the same thing, can often cause Oblivion to crash.

Some people swear by Wrye Bash, but I refuse to install Oblivion to another location other than Steam so I can get it to work.

Download OBSE which some mods need to work properly.

Download BOSS, because load order means everything in Oblivion.

Download FastExit2 which helps prevent crashes on exit and saves.

Also, it cannot hurt to go through all the "readme" files and look to see if there is an associated "Required" mod that you did not download or install.
