The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (2009)

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (2009)

Movement speed bug
Just going into quick detail - my character is level 5-6, and my speed is around 50 as well as other related stats. I feel like my run speed is super fast with heavy armor and weapons equipped. The rest of the game is moving at a normal pace, and I only have the unofficial patches installed. The only dlc I have enabled currently is the horse armor.

I've scoured the internet for solutions and cant find anything. I've tried re installing, running the game without the patches, disabling the controller in the .ini

No status effects that would affect it are currently on my char either.

Help :(

Stats:

Strength 48
Int 40
Will 38
Agility 30
Speed 47
Endurance 50
Personality 56
Luck 50

Heavy Armor 50

Is your FPS over 60?

I have it locked with nvidia control panel, as well as in the .ini

i would try re-creating the Oblivion.ini file in your case. (by renaming the one inside documents/my games/etc,,, and relaunching the game)

I've tried that unfortunately and it hasn't helped. I'm wondering if my movement speed is just normal? I've tried alot of things besides making a new character, I might see if the issue persists there.

the thing about Bethesda games is that "running speed" is faster than npcs while "walking speed" is slower than npcs.. sometimes its annoying
